The abundant dams on the reserve make for the perfect birding location as well as an afternoon of fishing and sun-downers as the Hippos’ call echo through the valley.

There is some fantastic trophy Large- Mouth Bass fishing on the reserve, with guests having access to these. A short drive from the Reserve, fisherman can pursue Rainbow and Brown Trout as well as the indigenous Natal Yellowfish which is a real favourite.
